ACT for Performance was awarded a three years Long Term Agreement (LTA) for Provision of Cross-Sectoral Third- Party Monitoring Services to UNICEF Afghanistan Country Office.

Due to security concerns, UNICEF employs third-parties since 2015 to monitor programme implementation in target locations across Afghanistan as an integral part of the UNICEF monitoring system. ACT for Performance in consortium with ASK Consulting are working in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan both rural and urban as a third-parties to monitor progress of implementation of UNICEF program and obtain feedback against a set of key indicators in the sectors of intervention of Health, WASH, Nutrition and Child Protection and Education.

Afghanistan is one of three countries in the world that has not yet eradicated polio and 41% of the children under the age of 5 are stunted (2013 survey). Afghanistan Country Programme’s planned five-year fundraising and spending target is 665 million of American dollars.
